Resurgens

No quote on this one.

Instead, I will explain my thought process.

I grew up in Douglas County Georgia, with so many wonderful memories as a kid.

Nothing from my childhood would I ever trade for anything else.

But I have a connection with Atlanta from birth, as my first heartbeat came at Crawford W. Long memorial Hospital.

I always felt a little special to be born at such a prestigious and historical hospital.

Being away from home for so long(USN and now Texas), there are times where I do go through a little funk; missing those memories, those friends, and of course my family.

So when I decided to put this idea on canvas, I wanted to show my version and thoughts of Atlanta.

From the fiery sky, which represents the "Hot 'Lanta", to the incredible skyline of never ending buildings which represents opportunities and the future, to the blended colors and texture below, representing the past and real time life trials and tribulations.

The city seal at the top says, "Resurgens", which in latin means "To Rise Again".

I love that and that is my Atlanta I want to always love and remember.
